The wool is very fine and glossy, and is used for spinning and felting, good for skin-close garments as it doesn't prickle. High quality meat, and the breed produces the highest lamb weight per ewe (in Sweden) due to high fecundity.

This breed is well adapted to all kinds of climate and environments.

The breed is known for its high fertility (2,7 - 2,8 lambs per ewe and year) and a very high milk yield.
Special characteristic of product
Animals of this breed produce two different types of wool, very fine wool without guard wool and the other type is slightly rougher and is called gobelin wool.
