Description of origin
indigenous breed, this breed belongs to the Small East African Zebu group but apparently more related to the Malawi zebu than to the Zambia Angoni
Location within country
The Angoni cattle are concentrated in the highlands of Tete province bordering with Zambia and Malawi. It is found in the Angonia plateau, Marávia, Macanga, Fingué and Zumbo, the border with Zambia.
