This sheep breed can be easily determined, because of the characteristic yellow – brown face, ears and legs, by which it named “yellow-face”.

The most important advantages of this breed are good resistance and excellent adaptability to very hot climate in the breeding area.

It is characteristic Pramenka type that originated from Asia Minor.
Location within country
The breeding area of Zuja is very limited, only flat area in south part of Montenegro around of Podgorica (Zetsko – Bjelopavlicka plain and basin of Skadars' lake).
