Description of origin
Charbray cattle are a synthetic breed (5/8 Charolais - 3/8 Zebu). It is considered that this breed had its origin in Mexico from the 1940s, although its formal recognition did not occur until the 1990s.

It is located mainly in desert, semi-desert, subtropical and tropical areas of Mexico, with a greater presence in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Tabasco, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Veracruz, where 87% of the registered population is concentrated.
