Description of origin
The historical origin of the D'man breed is not well known, it has existed in the palm groves of the pre-Saharan regions of southern Morocco for a very long time.
Location within country
The D'man exists in the oases of southwest Algeria: Gourara, Touat, Tidikelt and goes as far as el Golea in the east and extends into the desert areas south of Bechar.
