The animals of both sexes are usually horned. The horns of the females are sabre-shaped, curved backwards. They have a slightly visible fore-edge. The horns of the males are big, curved backward and aside in open spirals.

The body is harmonious, elongated in shape; the chest is deep and the bone system is very strong and muscular. The profile line of the head is straight. The ears are comparatively long and semi-floppy.
